Our Story

This is the area's premier place for those serious about real beer! Great Basin offers an amazing variety of beers — four flagship beers and usually four to six seasonal brewmaster specials, many having won awards at the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup.

Our menus provide a wide variety of food offerings including salads, homemade soups, burgers, sandwiches, pizza, steak, shepherd's pie and ourworld famous fish and chips, plus much more.

We have two locations. Our original, opened in 1993, is in the heart of the downtown Sparks redevelopment area known as Victorian Square, where you will find many special events throughout the year. Our second location, opened in the summer of 2010, is at the corner of McCarran Blvd. and S. Virginia St. in south Reno. On any given night at either location, you may find open mic comedy, live music indoors or out, outdoor dining when weather permits (Sparks) or just relaxation with great company.
